I was reading last night and had another moment of clarity in my situation with myself. In the scriptures we always read that we shouldn't fear. Then I got thinking I have let Fear rule every aspect of my life (obviously, I have my strong times too) but majority it's been fear. This last year found myself letting go of some fear. But in one aspect..SUGAR I didn't even realize that I have been fearing about sugar and overeating it. So.. I read this," If there is trust in the Lord, we will never fear. Faith can move mountains, so why wouldn't it be able to keep us well?(Matthew 17:20) That hit me like a ton of bricks. When we fear..that fear is our constant companion..and usually we make it happen, what ever we are fearing. I know I was with sugar..it goes like this in my mind: I wake-up..I can't eat any sugar..it's really bad for me and I'll get bigger and won't loose the weight that I want. So the day goes by..I'm fearing that I'm going to get into the cupboards and get a sweet refined treat or if I'm at the store. The whole time..my eyes spot deliciousness and i quickly look the other way..I'm afraid of it, afraid that I'll put it in my cart, afraid of not having it also. When my kids bring a treat home for school and I tell them they can't eat it until after dinner. I have to hide it and put it out of sight..I'm afraid of shoving it into my mouth and then having to make-up and excuse of why it's not there or why they can't have it. Because heaven forbid..I'll have to tell them the truth and say that I had zero self control and ate there beloved treat. Then the pain and self hate comes back full force. So today...is my first day of not fearing sugar and it's working so far..really cool.

Fear or Faith?

Frustration
So, in talking with a nutritionist she suggested sucanat sugar for hypoglycemia. And being the trusting person that I am I just thought it was good for me. A friend of mine invited me to go to a sugar class that is given by a health coach. So, to make a long story short both sucanat and erythritol are not good for you. Like I've said before, I'm still learning. Sorry for all the recipes that we've come up with that aren't good for the body. The health coach suggested coconut nectar, or coconut crystals. This is not processed and is low glycemic. I've gotten them both and am ready to experiment. Here we go again... take 2. :)ok.. this is me writing later .. but truely I love xagave. My favorite. I love blue agave too, but the xagave just has a few more heath benefits. I have used it and love it..it has little to zero side effects for me and it has great health benefits. look it up online and read about it. I was impressed. And you can get free recipe ideas too on their website. Just google xagave, because i don't have to website off the top of my head. Im sure it's just www.xagave.com but not 100%.

Lyndsie
I am a Mother of 4 beautiful girls. My husband and I have been married for almost 10 yrs and sugar has always been my weakness. I love it so much that I dream about it:). I have had a lot of health issues..that i thought were related to sugar. Well, one is..hyperglycemia. But just recently found out that I have low thyroid. I went and got tested by an awesome Doctor. He works with Bio-Identical Hormones. We found out that a lot of my Hormones were very low and since it is Natural.. I was all for trying this. I have been on Hormones specifically tailored to me and other vitamins for about 7 months now. All I can say is I am feeling wonderful! I am not back to myself yet..but I know that I will get there. When we first started this blog..I thought all my problems were being caused because of refined sugar. Come to find out it's not, but I do feel so much better when I use Agave or Coconut Crystals for my sugars. And I know that refined sugars are not the greatest for my body. I also get the sugar blues really bad and can go into deep depression(this is something the hormones are fixing too) but I do need to try my best at eating low-glycemic sweeteners, because it helps with the sugar blues. So, I am a women on a mission to find as many recipes or create my own, of my favorite treats. I am still learning about all the different types of alternate sugars and sweeteners out there. I would not call myself a professional at all with all of this, but what I do find, learn, and create I would like to share. Life just isn't worth living without treats. That's my motto. :)
