My new candida diet

So me and this adorable little boy have candida. Have you ever heard of candida? I never had before I met Pam. It is too much yeast in your body. We all have yeast in our bodies but some have too much which causes lots of health problems (symptoms are listed below). It is something we can control but this means eating with more thought (Dang it)! I have known that I had this for some time now but have come to a point where I need to face it. I had candida while I was pregnant and nursing this little guy and thus he has candida too. The diet scares me to death. I went to see Pam Howell and she gave me a list of foods that we can and can not eat. Her list seems more doable than the ones I found on most websites so I am hoping that I can get this under control for the both of us. If you have candida this might be helpful to you too.

Looks like this is going to be our diet for a while (I think I can, I think I can) ...

Foods to avoid
White sugar, brown sugars, corn syrup, sugar substitutes, fruit juices and sucrose.

White flour (refined)

White rice

White or red potatoes

All cheese including cottage cheese

Sour Cream and buttermilk

Mushrooms.

All Alcoholic beverages (Not a problem because I don't drink)

All fermented liquids including soy sauce, homemade cider or root beer

All pickled, cured and smoked meats, fish and poultry. includes all deli meats

Melons especially cantaloupe.

Vinegar containing items (Ketchup, mayonnaise and most condiments).

Bread containing a lot of yeast and most commercially made bread.

All fruits that cannot be pealed.

Dried fruits

Foods Allowed
Honey (Raw preferably), molasses, pure maple syrup, xylitol, stevia, agava, any natural sugars

Whole grain cereals, whole grain breads, whole grain pastas

Brown rice or wild rice

Yukon gold (a yellow potato) or Yams (sweet potatoes)

Any pasteurized cheese, i.e Velveta (That was weird to me because that cheese seems highly processed).

Soy or Rice Milk and yogurt (plain)

All vegetables

All fresh meat, fish and poultry

Bottled fruit juices. (No Sugar Added)

Substitute dressings with yogurt or lemon juice

Fruits that can be peeled as long as you don't eat the peeling. i.e. apples oranges, pears, peaches, and bananas

Cooked or wholewheat cereal

Side Effects of this diet... Complete health and happiness. Much better than any pills you may receive to mask the symptoms.

Additional information for you based on the fact that cancer cells hide in the candida condition

An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by not feeding ti with the foods it needs to multiply. Cancer cells feed on:SUGAR : by cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like Nutrasweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc. are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. Table salt has a chemical added to it white in color. Better alternative is Braggs Amino's or sea salt.

Milk: causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastrointestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting unsweetened soy or rice milk, cancer cells are being starved. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and possible parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts, and fruit, help put the body into an alkaline environment. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer fighting properties. Water that is best to drink is purifies, r/o, or filtered to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein coving. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level.

Possible Symptoms:  (This list is my motivation for getting this under control. The high lighted symptoms are what I have experienced) Constipation, diarrhea, colitis, abdominal pain, headaches, bad breath, rectal itching, impotence, memory loss, mood swings, prostatitis, canker sores, persistent heartburn, muscle and joint pain, sore throat, congestion, nagging cough, numbness in the face or extremities, tingling sensations, acne, night sweats, severe itching, clogged sinus', PMS, Burning tongue, white spots on the tongue or int he mouth, extreme fatigue, vaginitis, kidney and bladder infections, arthritis, depression, hyperactivity, hypothyroidism, adrenal problems and even diabetes.

  1. Dang! I had a friend with similar issues. Maybe you already know but take your acidophilus along with your diet. It helps eliminate the yeast in your body as well. Good luck! :/

  2. Thanks Jen!! I'll have to get some acidophilus (I can't even pronounce that :) ). If it helps, that would be great. It is so tricky to get this (candida) under control. Especially for baby Grey. Everything he loves he shouldn't eat. YOur so AWESOME! We sure love you girl!
