Strawberry Jam Bars

I double this recipe. It makes the bars thicker. So yummy!! - Melissa


2 c. oat meal

1 c. whole wheat flour

1 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp. ground ginger

1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg

1/4 tsp. salt

1/2 c. pure maple syrup

1/2 c. canola oil

1 tsp. vanilla

1 your favorite 10 ounce jar no-sugar added jam (mine is raspberry)


first. Turn oven to 350,

second. In a large bowl, combine oat,flour, baking powder, and spices.

third. In second bowl, beat together the maple syrup, canola oil, and vanilla.

fourth. Stir the wet mixture into the dry, mixing until blended.

fifth. Press half the mixture into the sprayed 9x9 baking pan. Gently spread the jam on top. Sprinkle the remaining crust mixture over the jam. Making sure the dough gets into the corners of the pan. Gently pat the topping until smooth.
